74 f150 4" lift ?'s
I have A 74.5 f150 3" body lift and 37" tires. i was starting to put in the lift form skyjacker and i looked at the drivers front when i got it one and the new coil spring doesnt sit in the spring perch right. the stock fits perfectly but the new coil seems to be larger in diameter. I also should replace them because one has a crack close to the two mounting holes. dangerous!!!!. so is there anywhere i can buy larger spring perches/cup for the newer coils. or did the 250 or 350 have a larger diameter coil spring so i can steal the sping perches from them and it will work. until i figure this out i am stuck. help.

yes a 4x4. and the diameter of the wire is bigger then the original."thicker" and the bottom of the new coil doesnt fit in the cup properly. i got the lift from 4wheelsparts for a 73-79 f150 4" standard lift (coils,c-bushings,add-a-leafs,centerbolts,shocks,shock boots, pitman arm, radius arm and trac bar bushings)i havent checked if there was an inventory sheet to make sure if the coils are the right kind. i will check that tonight and repost tomorrow. thanks for helping. idk what to do

The lower spring coil bracket is probably bent and does not seat the new coil spring properly. The new coil should fit in the lower spring coil bracket. The new coil springs are made with a larger coil in diameter. Jeff Bronco's Graveyard and National Parts Depot carry the part. Make sure to rethread and install new bolts to the lower spring coil bracket is needed.

How are the C-bushing and Radius Arm Bushing?
Here's a picture of the C-Bushings. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...129424&width=0
Probably a good time to replace those bushing.
Check the track arm bushing too, those might be worn.

I think 37" tires is pushing over the limits of the 1/2 ton drive train and axles.
