TRW balljoints?

From reading posts about balljoints, it looks like everyone pretty much likes the MOOG brand name, anybody have any experience pros, cons, using TRW?

thanks,
mike

Don't know about the TRW ball joints but I installed the NAPA Chassis ball joints on my truck. Don't know how they compare and they may even be Moogs under NAPA's trade name since that is what NAPA used to use. I have heard that the McQuay Norris ball joints aren't as good as the Moogs. Not a fact just what I have been told by others.

The main thing to keep in mind is that whatever brand you use, first and foremost, it must be a greasable HD type. Otherwise you be doing it again. I know a guy who had a service van which was going through TRW OEM's about twice a year. This was covered through warranty work at Ford. Ford replace them six times instead of using HD greasable. The van is now six years old, and since putting in the moogs after the warranty expired, they have not needed replacement. One more thing, if you see rust dust accumulating on the bottom ball joint before you can see it leaning visually, it needs replaced.
