ok i am doing IPR (injector pressure regulator) o-rings on my truck tonight and i took the bad ones off think it was only the small round o-ring and the big one. what i didn't notice if the square cut backer ring. i need to know if the backer goes toward the tip of the ipr or toward the threaded end.
please help fast. i don't want to be here all night wondering.
thanks
tim
Glad you got it figured out so fast and it was fortunate that you had another truck sitting there for reference.
Did that servicing the IPR improve the driveability at all? Was there a problem beforehand or were you simply wanting to make sure all was good?
kwik i had a hot restart issue. long crank and one time a no start but when cold it fired no problem. we actually have a core engine sitting here that we paid the core on when we took it out of the customers truck. it has been great for parts and reference! $500 well spent!!! the small o-ring is about 3/8 of an inch diameter and was missing about 1/16 all the way thru! i was surprised it would start at all.
