Engine?????

I just bought a 1965 F-100 to restore and the engine has been changed years ago.I have no idea what size it is or what horsepower I am looking at!!!!! How can I find out????

Russ, what makes you think that the engine was changed years ago? Is it a 6, or 8, or God help us another name. If it's an 8 look just to the right of the fan pully and see if there is a 352 on the front of the block. There are three engines with that on them the 352,360, and 390 that I'm sure of. Most likely the engine is a 352 in that year model.
