Does anybody know a good mechanic/body person in the seattle area. I have a 62 F100 stepside that I need work mechanical and body done. But I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I was quoted $30.00 an hour which sounded resonable but now the guy doesn't have time.
Ed,
Are you going to the All Ford show at the Enumclaw King County fairgrounds on Monday, Sept. 6? I plan to and might be able to give you some advice on your '62 F100. I'm just finishing my first year in the autobody program at GRCC but not looking for anybody else's project right now. Still, I'd be interested to see what you need done and could probably work on it or point you to someone else to get it done this Fall. I'll have my beautiful '79 F150 4wd, all new all original at the show (not "in" the show). You can see how nice things can turn out when done with properly using the latest technology in materials.
Hey Ed,
I'm also rebuilding a 62 F100 Stepside...email me at jethrob@looksmart.com and let me know what you find out.
I'm doing a frame up and have a 292v8 and want to swap the 3 speed manual for a automatic(flat-o or john mummert??).
I've been at it for about a year and have a lot of url's and thoughts about the rebuild.
