God, I hate...
Ok. A little back ground. I won't bore you with all the details, but, I got stuck a couple days ago. I could go forward (down hill but not good) but not backward(that would have been good). No problemo, I gotts me 4 wheel drive. So I jump out and dial in the hubs (automatics don't work) and then twist the ol' **** on the dash and ...NOTHING!! I tired backing up, I tried going forward, all to no avail. Finally ended up just spinning my rear wheels when all movement came to a halt. What's even worse is, I had to call my Father-in-Law to come pull me out... WITH HIS <censored> GMC 1500 GASSER.
The shame. THE HORROR. Drove the truck all the way home with it in 4X4 and the little idiot light still didn't come on. Found out after I crawled underneath an electrical connector wasn't plugged all the way in. Must have happened when I had my tranny repaired a couple months ago. Give me a floor shifter and solid linkage any day.Howard
I have ESOF in my '01. Already changed out the hubs to Warns.
It works for many, and many like it.
I would have ordered it without it, but found a great deal on an on-the-lot V10...

I agree about the shame factor!!! I would hate to have my father-in-law have to pull me out. Even if he had another FORD (which of course he does not).
Glad it was just a loose electrical connection!
