'75 F100 302, 3 Speed; Brakes lights suddenly don't work. I had a problem with my right signal light it was blowing fuses when I used it. Haven't been using my right signal light until I could fix it, now my brake lights are not working. Fuses are all good signal lights work, brake lights don't. Help?
you should also try replacing your flasher, as i had the same problem with my turn signal. replace both of them and see if that helps your turn signal problem.
a question for you. Do the rear turn signals work? or is it just the fronts and the dash indicators. Ford uses a split system that uses the rear turn signal filliment for brakes as well. check out a good wiring diagram and it will help.
Also check out for bad sockets on the rear of the truck, I was having problems with both my turn signals and brakes working strangely. They would work with parking lights on, but not with parking lights off. I just had to replace one rear and one front turn signal socket and all is well. The sockets looked good, but were shorting out internally from corrosion. Any autoparts store should sell replacement sockets. mine alrady had the butt connectors attached.

signal lights work,..................... brake lights don't. Help?
A brake light switch can go anytime.
The Ford exterior lighting system is so tempermental it can be numerous things.
I just checked my wiring diagram and it could also be the turn signal switch. IT combines the three different systems that operate the hazard, turn singal, and brake lights. All the lights are hooked to the switch and it has internal contacts that either:
1) flash all four turn signals for hazard warning and dash indicator
2) flash one side front and back for turn signals and dash indicator
