fly-cut pistons

Hey guys Im thinking about buying Lunati's bracket master II cam for my 460 with a .292/.292 duration and .554/.554 lift. I was wondering if this would require me to fly-cut my pistons. I am going to run flat tops and i will be using the stock crank and stock length rods and a stock rocker ratio. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Hatch

There are ALOT better cams than that one. I had the same one in a 390 and it was a DOG. Look at lunati's new VOO DOO cams. I used one of them in a motor last spring and it really runs good. They are a new lobe design and have split lift and duration that these motors really like.

i don't think you'd have piston to valve problems.you might be bummed if you use the cam you had picked out tho.sounds like a generic chevy profile they put on a ford stick.i would think you would want a dual pattern with 8-10 degrees more exhaust duration.also if it's an automatic yer gonna need a converter or it'll be a turd.
