HELP!!!!Guage Cluster Problems
hello,
I have a standard 1999 F150 and i'm trying to install a guage cluster from a lariart pick up with tach, i got the guage cluster installed and the truck will not start, it will crank over but will not start, i removed the security box from the truck (still wont start), i put the old guage cluster in and its starts and runs, i removed the old guages with the truck running and installed the new guage cluster and the truck continued running and all the guages worked fine including the tach, when i turned the truck off it would not start, i have put the old guage cluster back in till i can figure out what needs to be done, i did notice that the security light is in a different location on the back of the guages,
I'M HOPING SOMEBODY OUT HERE CAN HELP ME OR DIRRECT ME TO WHERE I CAN SOlVE THIS PROBLEM. I'm sure its one or two wires that will need to be changeed and just need to know what ones. that guage cluster is out of a 1999 truck.

what would be the answer for getting the right computer for the guage cluster that i'm trying to install in the truck, should i have gotten the computer out of the truck i got the guage cluster out of or do you think they could program my computer to work with the new guage cluster.

Once you do the swap, and have the cluster unit you want installed have it towed to the dealership. I think that the computer and anti theft system will just be programed to work together. They may need to make an extra key for you. I was told this is required if two keyes are not at the reprograming.
