Stock Deck compatibility

I tried searching, but couldnt come up with a combo of terms that would help me out.
My mom has a 99 superduty with a single disc cd player, i am taking the deck out of my 04 lightning(6 disc) in favor of an aftermarket deck, will mine work in her truck? I know it will fit, but are the connectors the same?

Have a part # on that HU from your Lightning? If I remember correctly, there's a couple places online where you can do a cross-reference check to see if it will work in other models\years.

i sure don't. THe truck is at home, i could pull the deck tonight, and get it though

Hmm....I cannot find anything for that part #.

The next suggestion:
- Check the plugin configuration between your HU and the one for your mom's ride. More of a headache to check that, but that's about the only way to see if they will swap out. Also look at the plugs from yours and the plugs from hers, do they look the same with the same wiring layout (colors)?

Sorry I couldn't tell you anything about that HU part #.

itys all good, that may not be the right number, it was the one that looks most like a part number. I am going to try it, and see if it works. When i got the adapter for my new deck, it said 98-05 ford, so i am hoping our decks are the same.
