Hi,
am searching for a shift lever for my 1986 F-250 auto trans. It has about 3 inches of play in it at the steering column, the end that goes in the column is all flat and worn out.I need to order it online as I am located in Europe, anyone have any ideas??
Thanks in advance
www.car-part.com, they will generally ship if listed on there. Have them take the steering wheel loose, and it will reduce the size of the package, or if you don't need the steering wheel, (if it comes with the column) have them just take it off. Without the steering wheel and the sector shaft from under the hood, steering columns aren't too bad for size.

I used a floor shifter on my 92 that came from a Tempo, used the cover from and Escort to make it look good, and it actually had good length for use in a truck. I then ran the cable under the dash, and through a body plug by the brake pedal, I think may originally have been there for mechanical clutch linkage, but was never changed in the stamping for some reason. Then you should be able to hook up somehow to the shifter... I'll have to get a look at that sometime, as this was also using Dodge linkage... (Cummins conversion from a 460)
Actually,if I don't find one, I was thinking of building the tip up with an arc welder and grinding down to size, will do that if I can't find a new one.
Thanks
