Power Issues
I have an '86 6.9 IDI in an F350 dually cc. It has good power the state of the engine on flat land with loads that I have pulled. However the other day I pulled an empty 12' flat bed trailer up into the hills near here (Hwy 50 to Placerville) and slowed to 45 mph with my foot on the floor on freewy grades uphill. I put my '72 F250 on and had no significant difference in power loss. I could do more than 50 mph though because the rental trailer had every wheel on its two axels going different directions and probably shouldn't have been rated for 8,000 lbs.
Any ideas??
