Those screws only control the idle mixture. Black smoke when reving is from the accelerator pump or too large of jets in it. How does it act when driven?
it acts fine when driveing. just puffs some black smoke when i rev it and let off in park. nothing major. someone told me its runing to rich. any clue on how to adjsut it or shoudl i sjtu deal with it lol. i mean it runs good. i jsut dont wana end up foulin plugs from it runign to rich. well thanks for u time and advise. and its a stock carb no jet changes or anything. its off anouther 460. well thanks agin later.
After diving it for awhile to get it good and hot and not doing alot of idling, shut it off and let it cool. Pull the spark plugs and see what they look like. If slightly brown, I wouldn't touch it. If they are black, then you may want to look into rejetting, but if it runs good, I wouldn't mess with it.
alrighty ill try that out i havent had these new pugs out of it yet sicne ive run it ill try that out once i feed the gashog some fuel agin. she sucked a tank almost dry. ive almsot forgotten how much it ate since its been in the processe of a new install in a diff vehicle and some new parts. well thanks for ur time and ill chekc them out when i get some gas in her. thanks
