hey guys, i just picked up a predator carb at a auto fair. its def used, but looks alright. i need a couple things for it, mainly a manual describing rebuild/repair, and a couple small parts. anybody know where to get these?
also, i was wondering how suitable it would be on a 400, mostly stock, in a 78 bronco.
I've always wanted try one of those. They're supposed to be so simple. They're supposed to have virtually no adjustments and "self adjust" to about any motor.
Originally made for race only...they have models out now with improved idle for street use. I think you can convert the older styles with an idle circuit kit too for daily driving.
thanks man, you know any place to order parts for these bad boys? im thinking about putting it on my 400, but i dont know if itll be a good match. i might just sell it though.
Yep! www.jegs.com My brother used to race a Nova w/400sb with a Predator. It handled that 400hp just fine as well as pushing a 3800lb car to 13.01 in the quarter mile at Bandimeer Speedway!
I messed with a set on a 8-71 blower on a BB chevy 496. They were very tempermental. A 5 degree temp. change in ambient temp. outside required readjusting. I went back to 2 850 Holleys. They work good on pull trucks or something that just gets run at W.O.T.
