A while back I came to you guys about a suspension problem that I was haveing. Some of you told me to try just putting on new shocks before doing a leave replacement. Well I know a kid a the local Checker that hooked me up with some new shocks. The front ones weren't the right kind so it took me a while to get some that fit right. I now have a pair of gas charged shocks in the back and regular shocks in the front. I took it out for drive on my street. It was amazing how much better it sounds and acts when I fly over large dips and speed bumps. I just thought I would let you know how it turned out. I am trying to get some pics of my truck put on here but I am haveing trouble.

P.S. My next little fix is to replace all of the old wireing. Some of you guys have given me advice on how to redo it, I think that I am going to just buy a fist full of new wire and kinda cut and replace that way.
Wish me luck I might need it!!
hey Tyler, have you thought about a wiring kit from Painless Wiring? They have the kit set up so that all you have to do is route the wires and solder the end of a wire up to what it says on the wire... A little more pricey, but probably worth it in the long run. My truck has the wiring done the way you're talking about, and it is constantly having problems.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, stirs the soul, saying I'm a bad **** like lettin'em rip with a window shaking, fuel gulpin, carbon monoxide belchin, attention gettin, V-oh my LORD!-8!
if you are on a budget (and most of us are)Painless Performance makes a fuse panel that includes flashers and light and horn relays. You mount it and then use your wire to complete the harness. I did this years ago to my 56 and it was a breeze. Just run 1 wire at a time and you should have no problems as they include great instructions and a tech line you can call if a problem arises.
I have the money to buy A painless wireing kit that isn't the problem, I have just had some trouble getting a hold of them. I asked to get one of their cataloges and I emailed them a guestion asking about the posibility of me purchasing a kit. I haven't received a reply and it has been a while. I really need to get it done soon! More people have been telling me that I would be better off getting the kit, so that is what I think I am going to do. I'm sure some of you have done buisness with Painless, what is the best way about getting info and Help from them? Ohh and what do I call the wireing that I need, A harness, a complete kit. I would like to use the right lingo so that I don't end up with some weird wireing clips or something.
When I talked to the guys from Painless at major car shows, they would send you to one of their distributors. I bought my fuse panel from Summit's catalog. Was about $85 for the 12 circuit panel. Then went to my favorite local supplier and bought several small rolls of as many different colored rolls of wire he had. I had never wired a car before and this was easy. I only had one question about thhe instructions and their tech support solved that.
