factory amp problem?

factory amp problem?
daughter has a 98 Mustang with 4 speakers. driver side door speaker quit. i pulled radio and checked the 4 sets of wires. radio output is good, all 4 speakers good. appears to be an amp setting under the radio above the transmission hump. could one leg of the amp go bad? is this a common problem? any suggestions?
