Transmission question

When I press the OD on/off button on the shifter OD will not disengage. Any tips/clues as to what is wrong? The transmission shifts fine. It just presents a minor problem when towing a loaded trailer up hills.

Hmm, Fuse possibly? I have manual so I'm talking out of my hind end, but just trying to help since I'm here. I'd check a fuse or wiring.

More then likely,you have a broken wire in the shifter arm.

Mine sometimes has a mind of it's own and requires a firm touch to engage/disengage, but it does always work, may want to try that

Does the light come on when you push the button? If not check for a broken wire in the shifter handle or the connection at the botton.

Thanks for the tips. Upon further investigation I found with the truck in park the off light would come on when you press the button. Put the truck in drive it would not come on. Found a loose wire connector. All advise was appreciated.
