I have a 2001 F250 with exhaust and FIPK and am considering a tuner. I like the look and features the Hyperpac offers and was wondering if anyone has one and how they like it? I've used Hypertech products on my Mustangs with great success.
I have used Hyperjunk on my GMs with little or no success. I got my GMs custom tuned on a dyno. Also for the Ford, I went with DP-Tuner. So far, I have yet to hear anyone regret it. Even those who switched from others to DP-Tuner.
Try the cheap route first. Have him reprogram your PCM. $75. If you like it, you can go with the flip chip or SCT2 with his tunes.
Diesel Power Magazine did an article on it (aug 06 issue). I got one on order. After searching the net, I've learned one thing. Everyone has there favorites and lots of folks will have something negative to say about the competitor (sometimes more so when the competitor has some genuine competition to threaten them with). As for the hyperpac, It has to be a pretty decent product being as it received 2 Sema Awards at once, which I heard was the first in history. It seems to pack a lot of features in one package and is simple to install and use. We'll see how it goes......
i had the hypertech programmer III on my truck and it worked good but when i got my dp tuner, it really came to life.
however, i can no longer read codes with the dp tuner and i wish i could
Ok, this is a pretty cool little gizmo. Very easy to use, woke my truck up quite a bit, and I've only tried stage 2 (60 HP), havent ventured into stage 3 yet(100 HP). Overall, a lot of fun and features in one package. Im sure there are bigger boosting performance mods out there, but for all the features and ease of install / use, this is a good unit.
