I'm helping someone adjust their emergency brake on a 95 Explorer. We replaced the pads which were completely worn out and the e-brake now has some grip, but not nearly what it should have.
I assume there's an adjustment for the brake cable but I don't know where it is or how to make the adjustment. We can't adjust the shoes any more than their present setting because they'll hit the drum.
Any advice would be appreciated.
to get to the ebrake pads on a 95 explorer you have to pull the rotor off once off you will see a little gear which you can turn either way one losens and one tightens the ebrakes (you can get to this gear with out removing your rotor you may actually have to lose it to get the rotor off just remove the wheel and look under with a flash light and a long flat head you can move it)
