Just a note for others looking for voltage drop
Installed a new alternator because the old one needed new brush's and bearing's. Long story short while the new one worked it was only putting out 13.33 VDC. Tried several things until I took off the negative cable to the engine block. Upon cleaning the connection and reinstalling the voltage jumped to 14.57 VDC
