Windshield interchangeability
Can anyone tell me what years the windshields are interchangeable on f-series pickups. I have a crack in my '92 f250 and have a good one out of an '80 f100. Curious to see if they will swap.

I am pretty sure that I have seen newspaper advertisements stating that 1980 thru 1996 used the same windshield. And I thought that the cab stayed the same from 1980 thru 1996--dimensionally.
You could check windshield suppliers on the internet to make sure. Or call the Ford House and verify that the part numbers are the same for the two different years.
But it is my understanding that it is almost impossible to remove a windshield without cracking it--because the windshield is bonded to the windshield frame with adhesive--or so my bodyshop told me.
