I went to Ford yesterday to get a new water drain valve. To my surprise, inside the little Ford bag was a IH parts bag. On that bag there was a sticker covering the I/H P/N. Pulled that off and called my local I/H dealer to find out how much Ford put the stones to me. I called the parts dept and the guy told me that it was a resticted part. I asked what that meant and he said "no idea".
Anybody care to take a guess? It makes me curious to find out what else is resticted.
That makes sense I called Ford before i got the orings and they wanted 71 bucks for the assembly. IH probably sells th part to Ford for 5 bucks. And the Drain valve IH does sell only has 2 "mounting ears" instead of the 4 like ours.
I had the same problem two days ago trying to buy some exhaust up-pipes for my truck. They wouldn't sell them to me, so I had to go online for a source.

I think I'm going to go with the DI setup that Kris posted. Alot more money, but far more reliable IMO. Is that why Ford put the similiar setup on the 6.0?
My dad works for international and I tried to get some parts through him and he told me the same. Ford owns the rights to sell certain parts, even though IH makes them.
I was just looking now for those o-rings.....One of our sponsor sells them and I cant find them. Also fleetfilter isnt working either. Can anyone redirect me? Kwik I need those parts too for the donuts, where did you find new ones at? Troy

I just checked www.fleetfilter.com and, as of this writing, they have a small front page only. I heard something about a power outage that also put FTE offline for a while, so I think they suffered the same problem and now have to rebuild the site or something. Just a guess.
