The front (core support) mounts line up perfectly. The front cab mounts, you have to remove the 79 frame perches and either use the 64 perches with about 2-3" lift blocks, or fab your own perches. Back cab mounts, either use the 64 perches with lift blocks, or drill two holes in the rear cab floor lined up with the mounting holes in the 79 x-member. Now the real fun part. If you use a styleside box, there is a lot of modifications. Lift blocks to line up with the cab, moving one bed stringer to make room for the frame fuel tank (if you use it), custom notching and mounting of the rear valance of the bed. The frame must be cut off flush with the back of the rear spring shackle mounts and bumper brackets remounted. The steering column hole in the cab floor must be patched and moved up towards the firewall to use the 79 column and steering box. The brake booster, ms mounting has to be modified to clear the engine valve cover. I moved mine to the hydrolic clutch location and modified the brake pedel to work.

With that said, a 65-66 body would be a much easier swap, as they have more in common woth the 79 trucks. I am very pleased with the end result of my truck, it is a joy to drive and looks good.
