I would like to lift my 63 f10 unibody shortbed 2 wheel drive about 2 inches and add larger tires. will this front end take the stress of 30 x9 1/2 or 31x 10 1/2 rubber without a lot of wear? also what is the correct steering wheel diameter?

I would suggest that you don't put a large tire on that truck. You have a very small gear box and the trucks were not noted for good handling when stock. Had a habit of wanting to dart to one side when braking. A steering damper attached to the cross link would help.
The steering wheel diameter is 17 inches.

My 61 uni currently has 31x10.50 15 on front and 33x12.50 15 on the rear stock hieght no flared fenders the fronts do rub on tight turns but the effort to drive it is not unreasonable. If you plan to lift your truck it should not be a problem to run big rubber all around. Be warned braking at speed in these trucks with any tire can be squirrely.
