im in the process of pulling the twin I beams from my 65 and swapping for a set of I-beams and disk brake setup from a mid 70's ford. My question is does anyone know of a company that makes 2-3" drop spindles that will accomodate the mid 70's disk brake setup. I havnt seen any.
William: Welcome to the best Ford site on the Web! Use the search feature and look through the archives. Lots of good info and other ideas concerning lowering trucks. Personally I prefer stock springs, progressive rate in the front. Try http//:www.eatonsprings.com I also like 60's series tires say 235/60 R15 front and 265/60 R15 rear. Check out DJM suspension for dropped beams (not a recommendation) www.djmsuspension.com. There are others out there.

The best way to drop an I-beam suspension are to buy actual dropped I-beams. There are several companies that make them. Check out a magazine like Truckin' to find some vendors. Good luck..1
Hey guys, your in luck! Oo I just happened to see two ads for dropped I-beams in the April 2001 edition of Truckin'. You can see the ad on page 164.AIM is the company and their number is 1-800-289-9980. It looks like the set for your F100 65-79 would run you $419.00 a set...There is another ad without a price on page 51 for Chassis Tech. Their number is 1-800-898-9719 with a note for Dealers Only!!!
Hope that helps.
If you decide to drop your front end let me know what you want for your old I-beams...I have a bent one and just might replace it instead of repair it.
I've got a 66 with the DJM dropped I-Beams and it runs and drives great, although I have heard some stories about folks who were not satisfied with DJM. but my experiance has been a good one. Oh well theres my 2 cents

i have had people tell me they weren't satisfied with the ride from drop spindles so i'm putting my 66' short wide body on a 86' town car frame & it will be easier to find affordable alum wheels
