i have a 92 explorer that i want to put a snow plow on and any info would be helpful

If it's an automatic, I suggest you put a trans cooler on it and maybe a trans temp guage.

We have a 92 which we put a plow on,

Caution, the A4ld is a weak transmission, keep it cool, and you might get away with it, if you intend to push a lot of snow, consider another pusher..

If you are just plowing your driveway I wouldnt worry about any problems with the tranny, just go slow and keep it in 4wheel low, and you will be fine. I also have a 92 and man they are great trucks arent they, just one thing I do not like, the power steering in them. Well good luck with your plowing.
