Climate Control Lights
I'm new to the list and have a question about the 97 F150 4x4 I just purchased. I noticed last night that the lights around the heater/AC controls do not work. How do you change these bulbs? I haven't had a chance to purchase a service manual yet. Since it contains so much more information, I'm trying to find a Ford factory service manual.
I'm new to the list, but not new to Ford trucks. I used to own an 86 Ford Bronco... I still have the factory service manual for it. I have always done all repairs to my vehicles, so hopefully I can contribute to the list in the future.
Thanks, Rob
The trim piece around the climate control head and radio is just pried off with a screwdriver. Once that is removed, the head unit can be removed (4 screws) and pulled out enough to get to the bulbs.
There's a Bronc sub-forum here that can likely benefit from your experience. Check it out.

The truck engine also has some pinging when under load. If it stops raining, I'll try to clean the MAF today.
