Transmission problem
I have a 2001 Excursion with the 7.3PSD. Love it. The past week or so I have noticed when driving between 35 an40 MPH the tranny shifts up into 4th and back into 3rd continuously while trying to maintain a constant speed. I took it to the dealer and they tell me the computer needs to be flashed? Is this true or are they just trying to get my 175 bucks. I had my super chip programmer installed when the shifting problem first occured. I have since removed the program and it continues to act in the same manner. Any help will be greatly appreciated
