Hey guys got a question to ask I've been reading about this stop to go clunk sound I've never lubed up the slip yolk but I was under there and do you have to cut off the special clamps to do this? thank-you in advance herman2001...
Herman, it actually depends on what driveshaft setup that you have. If you have boots covering the shaft, then, yes, you have to clip the bands to gain access.
I am getting ready to do mine and am planning on a photoshoot at the same time.
Cut the bands. Pull the shaft. Clean the shaft and yoke with brake cleaner and lube both up wit the teflon grease. Did mine last weekend...... Took about 30 minutes taking my time.....
Just slip the boot back on and use some tie wraps to secure it.
