Just traded my 05' Nissan Frontier for 2004 F150 FX4 5.4L.
I have the traditional problem caused by the phazer.
I can't stand having a gas that sounds diesel.
1. Is it possible to have this problem fixed if the vehicle has 45k?
a. I am not the 1st or 2nd owner.
b. Any of you guys work for a ford dealer????
c. I have an Nissan Ext. Warranty, so should I just blow the motor and have a new motor put in. ( of course blowing engine with some creativity to make look good.
I am a service writer for Nissan so I know the in's and out's
2. Can I bump timing without chip or programmer?
You can with the Titan but, didn't by one.
Nissan ext warranty on the Ford??? Help me out here? Did you mean you bought a contract from the Nissan dealer on the Ford? If so one would think the cam phaser should be covered and the repair should follow the Ford TSB on the cam phaser.
I never thought Ford would be such a pain in the --- with their warranty and probally wouldn't have bought one if I knew the factory powertrain was only 3/36
well, yeah it will cover it. I just gotta wait another 30 days before making a claim. I just am worried about having bigger troubles . I guess i just need to ask if I am into any further problems.
I was also wondering what everyone is using for chips or programmers???
