ebp Sensor
does anybody know if the exhuast backpressure sensor is used for anything other than controlling the ebp valve? my tube rusted out and my valve is unhooked anyway since i can't stand the jumbo jet sound in the winter. i am wondering if it is used at all in the engine performance strategy of the computer. since its been broke (4 months) no power lose or mileage change. i am getting ready to sell my truck and just want to make sure its tip top.

I have had a exhaust code (0472) for a while now. I know Cat_man in the superduty forum had a ebp code eliminator in his truck, it was faulty, and it really cut down on his power. He replaced the code eliminator with his stock sensor and said it made a huge difference. That is the only post I have seen that caused this. So I have to say it adjusts engine performance, but I dont know how.

I have a plug threaded into the manifold where the EBV tube used to be, but I also have one of SPdiesel's code eliminators plugged into the EBV sensor harness.
As far as I know, the EBV sensor will only affect performance when it senses an overpressure, then it will defuel.
