Looking at PUTCO, NASTA, GO-INDUSTRIES. Looking for chrome that will handle the elements and using them for their actual purpose of rail functionality aw well as show.
Anyfeedback would be ap[preciated.
Thanks
I have an '04 fx4 SCREW 6'.
What is your definition of rail functionality? They are mostly for show. The best is stainless steel. Chrome and carbon steel can rust, stainless steel is the most rust resistant.

my definition functionality is if I want to fasten my live stock\dogs to the rail they would not be able to rip that son of a gun out. If I put my dog kennels in there, it owuld prvent them from flying out. So i guess I am looking for another way to fasten them other besided the fasteners in the truck.
Thanks for the reply Truck Daddy!
OK, sounds good. Keep in mind that once bolted on, the rails are really not super strong. All the brands you listed are very good and you'll be happy with any of them.
