I need to find out if the bench seats for the Chevy/GMC or Dodge vans will also fit into a Ford van. I bought a 15 passenger Ford van - but need to 3rd and 4th bench seats. I'm not worried about the bolt holes lining up - just need to make sure the dimensions are close enough not to cause a problem. Anyone know for sure?
Where are you located. I have 3rd and 4th row seats in Northern Nevada. I would let them go cheap. I also have the seat belts to go with them. I would not think Dodge or Chevy seats would be a simple install.
No they don't. I think the Dodge uses a system like the Aerostar that has hooks that go into the floor. If your van is like my 1985 12 pass., you did not mention YEAR, the bench seats clip into brackets above the floor.
At least in Atlanta you can easily find 3rd and 4th row seats for $35 each in the junkyards, where I got two rows for my van (out of a church van). Please note that the last row bolts in along with the seat belts and do not use brackets.
You can try www.craigslist.org for your home city. Many people give them away for free.
Thanks for the info - my van is a 1995 Ford E-Series. I found the 3rd and 4th row seats on ebay for a GMC/Chevy. I know the bolt holes are going to be different but I'm mostly concerned with the width of the seats. My boyfriend can drill new holes and get new hardware to install the seats... Just need to make sure they arent going to be too wide to even fit into the Ford. I called numerous salvages here in Wichita,KS but none had any bench seats to speak of... and all of them gave me conflicting answers as to if I could make a diff "brand" seat work.
