2004 4wd problem

My 2004 4wd ranger with 4.0 has 4wd problem. When it's in 4wd going over 25mph it feals like it slips out of gear and BANGS back in. I had it to the dealer and they can't find anything wrong. It doesn't feel like it slips out of 4wd, but like the the truck cuts out of gear.

From: Cisco, TX pop: 2500

Check fluid levels of tranny and T-case. If that doesn't do it, Take it to a driveline specialist.

Does it happen under a steady throttle, or just when you accelerate/decelerate?

If what you think is true and 4WD is engaging/disengaging, then it has to be a transfer case problem.
