Well I am looking for tires and I am having a hard time finding the size I need and want. My rims are 16.5X12. I found Denman Ground Hawgs 36X14.50X16.5 and i was wondering if anyone else has used these tires. I like the look of them but im considered about how they well act in the rain and for highway driving. Does anyone else know of any tires that are at least 14" wide and fit a 16.5" rim?

Ground Hawgs are under Interco (Super Swampers) now. Interco also has the SSR in 16.5 sizes. I've had good experiences with the SSR's on my dually in some pretty severe rain lately. They drive well on dry roads, but they are LOUD. And they're probably only going to see at most 30k miles before needing to be replaced.
get the ssr's. i had the ssr's 35"x14.50" on my 1995 f350, to me they handled great and was the best aggresive streetability mud tire available.
in the snow they are great, i never driven around in the street in the snow, just playing in the mountains. mud are great and in the rain (i was living in seattle) they handled great and never had that "floaty" feeling.
i don't know about how long they last, i sold the truck before the tires got wore out. i am planning on getting the same for my truck now.
I had the knock off hawgs (RTV) back on my 79. It took 6" of water to hydroplain, but would slip on wet asphalt under power or brake. It would pull anywhere, it did well forward and better in reverse. On the negitive side, they wore badly on my truck and were extremely noisey and rough riding. If it's for mostly off road use, the closest competitors to them are boggers and military NDs. If your planning on hwy miles, try something else.
Im looking at the SSR's now. Excepically because I want to run a 35" because im getting tire rub when turned and i hit a bump. The SSR's have the best size for me and the price isnt too bad.
I've only had my SSR's on for 3k miles now, and so far I think they're great. I've run Swamper TSL's and now Goodyear MT's (not the MT/R) on my rockcrawler and like ReAX mentioned about his knock-off Hawgs, they are both scary as hell on wet pavement. But these SSR's work great. And like I mentioned in my previous post, I've had to drive these things in wet conditions quite a bit lately. I think you'll like them. But like I also mentioned, they are kind of loud if that's a concern. I'm getting older and like a little more quiet, but in the SSR's case I really like the sound so it doesn't bother me.
