Yes that just happened to one of the dart players I play with. They just got a pup Chihauhau and when they got up in the morning they only found what was left from their cat. They paid a $1000 for that dog. To the cat it looks like a rodent.
Actually 66gpw, with a smart owner and a good trainer, you can train any dog, even a Chihuahua. Some friends of the family's own the most well-trained dog I've ever seen and it's a Chihuahua. Never yaps, maybe shivers once in awhile cuz the poor thing has no fur! haha, but definately sits, stays and heels with them. Good for you 32coupegirl, I hope you get what you dream for! I'd like a little dog someday too. Make sure you buy or knit it a sweater though for this freezing cold weather we have in Sask coming up!! Hey by the way.... what's the connection here b/w you and Karm?? .........hmmm.... -V
Oh man I would hate to see the remains of a cat that ate a dog that was worth a grand! Seems to me the owner might not like the cat a whole lot after that lol.
Karm and I have been together for 3 years now and 4 months. Him and I both have a passion for automotives although sometimes our tastes differ. You guys will all probably hate me for this but sometimes my mind wanders off to the '69-'72 Corvette. Karm's not a big fan of Chevy's. I guess he has some proof though with his cousin.... he still can't beat Karm's 13 second car. Don't get me wrong though, I am a Ford lover and will always stay a Ford lover. I still love the 50's Fords, any Ford truck that I have seen I have loved no matter what year it is, and of course my dream Coupe is in there too. Some day I'll own one. Thats ok I have a passion for the eatly Valiants I have 2 signets in my fleet. I also still have my first car a 66 Fury 4dr. Plan to redo her some day. I like some chevy style cars. Actually the Pontiacs. But everyone I own was a lemon except my 71 Lemans wgn. Had it for 5 years and still wish I did not let her go. It had good heat and started in even the coldest weather not plugged in. Oh no I'm being sacriligious here to this site. I better go now and beat myself up against a pole.
I had a 1970 2 door lemans and I pulled the motor out of it and put it in my 81 grand prix. That thing would start in all weather too. Just depended how many times you pumped the gas pedal! And dont ask why I took the motor out of a 70 lemans and put it in a 81 grand prix, it was stupid! I should have left it in the lemans!
HA! no love for the chihuahua.. atleast I'm not alone lol
I'd like to have a Black Lab. My cousin has one and it seems like it would make a good buddy. I want a kitty too though, to keep things balanced
On to the other topic.....
To me they are all just cars in the end... it just kinda *happened* that when I was in the buying mood, a cool Ford was for sale and I couldn't pass it up.
I like the '55 - '57 chevys and pontiacs.. they just have the cool factor. And some Chevy muscle would be fun to have. BUT on the other hand Ford has just had better styling through the years.. almost everything from '28 to '70 can't be beat for styling. Ford engineering also makes sense... I mean, why wouldn't you put the distributor at the front of an engine? I mean really... at the dragstrip, trying to quickly tune the ignition on a Chevy between rounds is impossible.
The only real reason you see so many small block Chevys in rods is because most already have a rear sump oilpan.... that is the only real benefit over the competition.
I've always gotta give credit to the Mopars, they have had some badass machines and serious engineering.. dizzy at the front, intake manifold comes off by itself, etc.. very well thought out. And you can't forget the early hemi's, which pretty much made the Ford flathead obsolete. Even the leaning tower of power (slant six) has it's moments.
