Modification Recommendations?

I have a bone stock 2002 Ford Excursion with 60k miles. I want to start adding modifications for performance, towing power, and an aggressive sound. My thought was to get the following items:

Edge Products Juice w/ Attitude Monitor 2001-2003 (#EJF2100A-WAM)

MBRP 4-Inch Turbo-Back Aluminized Exhaust System Excursion

MBRP Inc, Angled Exhaust Tip (4" Inlet, 5" Outlet) T5053

This is all from Xtreme Diesel Performance and the price is right about $1,000. Does this sound like a good start and a good price? I like the Edge Attitude monitor becuase I didn't want to add anymore gauges. Maybe this is silly... Don't know.

Is this a good price? Could I save money by not getting Aluminized exhaust? Should I?

Thanks!

I don't like too many integrated systems if I can help it. If my gauge breaks, I can replace that one instead of the entire disply. I'd get the gauges seperately if it were me. Besides, is the Edge tuner as good as the DP Tuner programs? Somehow I doubt it. 409 or AL exhuast is fine unless youa re running in heavy salt environments.

The seperate gauges make sense for that reason I guess. I'm in South Dakota and they do salt the roads. So aluminized not good then?

I don't know about how they make it but I have seen some aluminized pipes and am not impressed. That was why I went for the 409

Get a DP Tuner instead of Edge, then depending on how you drive you might want to look at a BTS valve body.
Gauges first then get air filter either tymar or similiar, exhaust, If you decide to get a valve body then get it at the same time as the DP so they can set it up to work together.

I got the BTS first and then the DP-Tuner. The chip was set up with the BTS VB in mind already. Personally, I'd get gauges and run it for a while to get a baseline before I do anything.

BTS or DP-Tuner are not really optional, IMO
