I have my 3-speed auxiliary installed and ready to roll. But I can't grease any of my brand-new U-joints because the tip of my grease gun won't fit between the knuckles! Does anyone know where I can get a smaller diameter tip? Is there one designed just for this operation? The only other option is to disconnect the flanges so I can open the angles wider...

my 2.5 cents
p.s. i'd like to see some pics of yer ride sometime....

Charles, Have you tried rotating the shaft. Most are on angles and if you rotate it to the correct position you can grease it. I have found this to be true on my trucks, yours may be different.

Thanks for the tip (no pun intended). I found a slightly smaller tip, but I also had to rotate the joints to JUST the right angle. Then I could just barely get the gun tip on the fitting. What a RPITA though.
I'll take a few snaps of the aux. transmission setup soon. It's working great; RPM went from 3025 down to 2550 at 60 mph. Much quieter from the engine (although it's another set of gears whining...)
