2.8 Question

I am wondering for everyone that has a 2.8 when they did their valve lash adjustment did it do a good job at making the motor sound more healthy. I am in the process of pulling mine to change all the gaskets and oil pump. Also will the changing of the valve stem seals make a difference. I really want to do this the right way but I don't have the money to pay for the machine work that is required to be able to rering and such. So I am hoping a simple gasket timing set and oil pump will hold it over for a while. The motor runs well but leaks oil.

valve lash

Yes, It does quiet the engine down noticably because they are solid lifters and the ajustment produces a much smoother power band and response. Worth the effort.
