Ive got an '00 F250 7.3 Truck is completly stock with around 113k on the ODO.
When the truck is cold, it starts fine but will die as you head down the road. this is under no load, and only does it when its cold. When it does run it runs perfectly fine, and it never has this problem when it is warm.
Ive replaced the fuel filter, but that did nothing...what does it sound like to the experts? I did some searching and it seems like the next place to look would be the cps, wich I am assuming is the Crankshaft Position Sensor? Pardom me if im incorrect, as this is my first diesel.
could be a sticking injector pressure regulator or high pressure oilpump resivior screen could be dirty what kinda of oil are you running and how cold is it outside when it is stalling
Have no clue on type of oil, as Ive only put about 2000 miles on it since ive bought it, and it was serviced at the dealership before hand. What is the best Brand/Weight to run in these?
The temperature is generally pretty warm. So far its been anywhere from 60-85 when its done it, tho it seems the colder it is, the worse it gets.
