just got a short 61 UNI no motor or trans but original bell (3 on tree)still in. I want to know and i believe it was a 6 cyc what engine will bolt to that bell and if a y block does is the bolt pattern the same for a 302-351w? and can I front mount these engines? I also have a fresh 352 which should go rite in with the old style FE bell and a front mount if I can find them no? also is there any donor truck/car I could bolt the front discs from onto my I beam straight axel thanks in advance!! This is so different from my 66's BUT Will BE Forever Cool! FATZ
Fatz, Skip can take care of you. The 61 will have to have conversion motor mounts because the 61 engine mounted front and rear, and the 352 and other newer engines side by side.
There are several disc brake setups and since Skip just did that to his truck he can speak to the issue better than me.
Don't get in a big rush, and things will come together.
