Lug Patterns...

I have performed the Disc brake swap on my 66 F100 s/b as outlined in the Tech articles section. To take the job a step further and increase the wheel selection, are there any FORD swaps that allow a change from 5 on 51/2 lugs to 5 on 41/2?
Currently, I'm using 76 F100 spindles. Thanks

If I were you, I would stay with the truck lug 5 1/2". There are lots of aftermarket wheels that are made for that size. You might investigate another rotor with (car) 4 1/2" lug spacing. Depends on wheel bearing sizes, etc. You might redrill your truck rotors and put in new wheel studs with 4 1/2" spacing.

I converted my '56 F100 to '69 LTD coil spring spindles with car lugs. To make the back the same, I ended up with a 9" rear and a Motorsport disc brake kit which is from Explorer (4 1/2"). I have way too much money in this project already.

You should still have the same lug pattern front and rear, and like previously posted, they are plenty of wheel choices available.

Thanks for the reply

I have relied on catalogs and such to make a wheel choice. Advertised listings do not often show the product size that I'm interested in. However, it might be wise to call a dealer for a more expansive listing.

You are right on the money when you say that too much money can be spent. Thanks to this forum I can stay on track with sensible advice.
