never underestimate the stupidity of the American public. if you build it, they will come. if you sell it, they'll buy it. somebody already making aftermarket dipsticks will fill the need, you could help speed it along by informing them of the void. Lokar? Transdapt? Sonnax? let'em fight over it.

Dipsticks are the only hard thing to come by. But to be honest its not all that had to make one with 3/8 steel fuel line. Cut it extra long insert it into the pan Fill pan with proper amount of oil and cut it down until you have it at the proper depth. No big deal. I have to do this to newer ford "small block" trucks that had the same type of oil dip stick tube.

The reason that used rear sump oil pans get so much money is people don't want to pay $300.00 for a new oil pan.
You can make a dipstick tube easily, but you will spend a lot of time making the dipstick itself.
