Locating dowell for cam sprocket

Locating dowell for cam sprocket
I just tried to put the old locating dowell in the new Edelbrock cam sprocket and it falls right through. Did anyone run into this before? The product specialist at Edelbrock didn't have a clue. I need some help on this one. Thank you.

stick it in oly far enough to stay in the hole, place the sprocket on, the the eccentric, washer, lock washer, bolt(with locktite) tighten Torque to ? look it up//.. the washer will seat it. BOL
