Jeff, Anything is possiable with enough engineering. I have never heard of anyone here making claim to your project, but was talking to someone in Carlisle last weekend who said it would work. Measure everything 10 times and everyway from sunday before you start. Keep good records and you may be able to help others if you can pull it off.

If you will use a73 to77 FORD truck frame you can set your motor and tranny in it as the motor mounts do not have to be made. However you do need to bring the steering column up so that it will come out of the fire wall at the proper place. Also you will need to bring front cab mounts back about 4 inches to line up with the 64 body mounts.The73 to 77 frame is a rear steer frame and makes a good donor. The 78 and 79 frame is several inches wider and is not a good donor. Hope this will help you.
