I just installed my autospring 2" leveling kit, well had the shop put it in, $120 to install and align, better them than me. Anyway, the thing is nose high now, i wish i had measured the kit before they put it in, it looks high, measuring from top of tire to bottom of fender front is 1/4" higher than rear, not sure if there is a better way to measure or not. Wierd thing is shop said after the kit went in, that it was WAY out of alignment, he was impressed with kit and said it was able to get into spec, which alot of kits are not. Question is, is there anyway they could have put the kit in wrong or adjusted something out to cause this? I know nothing about suspension as you can see. I really wanted just a bit of rake to the front as i tow a bit and dont want the nose to be crazy high when hitched up, i'm afraid to hook up trailer and see it...
I installed the kit myself, and the way the holes are placed it can only go on one way. The best way to measure is park the truck on level ground and measure from the ground to the bottom of the fender well at its highest point.

I had the same concerns when I installed the autospring on my 04. It was the 1.5 spacer (actually measured 1-5/8 inch) but gave the front end about 3 inches of lift, which put it about a quarter inch higher than the rear, like yours. I thought that was odd for a "leveling" kit, and was glad I only went with the 1.5 inch spacer. Ultimately, I ended up fixing the rear height and sag with towing by installing air bags in the rear end. Like they say, it's only money.
Now I traded the 04 in on an 06 and am going to put in the 1.5 autospring spacers and airbags again tomorrow or Saturday. Hopefully I can remember how to do it.
how did the airbags effect your ride quality when not towing? thats one thing i really liked about the truck. thanks for the help, i'm just glad i didn't do the 2 1/2"
It depends how much pressure you run. I run about 60 psi for heavy trailers or an atv in the bed. If you go empty with that, the ride is like a 3/4 ton. But if you drop down to 15 psi (which is still enough to lift the empty rear end of the truck about an inch) the ride is pretty smooth. Not as smooth as stock, but close.
oxman,
It lifted your front almost 3inches! i am thinking about a 2 inch leveling kit from autospring and really don't want the front to be higher! Do you have a 2wd or 4wd?
The 2" AutoSpring worked perfectly at leveling my 4x4. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/mrbuick/Picture090Small.jpg
It's wierd how some trucks react differently to leveling kits.I've seen some trucks sit perfectly with 2" kits and some sit perfectly with 2.5" leveling kits. But I've seen some trucks get nose high with 2" or 2.5" leveling kits. ??????
My 06' FX4 CREW 150" WB rides a smidge lower in the front with 2" AutoSpring. I installed same kit on brothers 04' FX4 135?" WB (Supercab) and his front end sits up alittle higher then the rear. When I have a trailer hooked up with 2 ATVs my 06' rides completely level. I think wheelbase has something to do with leveling.
I agree, it is wierd. My 04 4x4 sits dead level with the 2.5" kit. I measured my truck while it was stock before I ordered it. I was going to go with the 2" kit because I tow a 8,000lb trailer a couple of times a year, but figured I'd level it with the trailer by adding air bags to the rear. I'd rather have it level when not towing.

Yeah measured my 2.5 AS and the front is 1 inch lower then that back, I'm happy with mine. Casba.....that is one sweet loking truck, I love the combo of the scoop on ther hood and the bull bar.
