Does anyone know a source for spray cans of original factory paint for a 1956 F100? It is paint code D, which I think is Diamond Blue. Thanks for your help.
I wouldn't want an original can of paint from back then. it wouldn't be any good. Paint has a shelf life. Why not get it mixed? Some paint places can mix and put it in a spray can. You can look on line. I've seen places like House of Color in Washington State that will do it. Maybe someone else knows of places that can do it.
You may end up with more than one can depends on the minimum amount they can mix. A lot of the stores have a computerized matching system where they can mix an exact match right to your vehicle or sample. Wax the area first tho, otherwise it will even match the fading.
