Check Guages Light
Every once in a while, usually when the Ranger is cold, the "Check Guages" light will stay on for a bit. Today, it stayed on for a minute or so. Everything's working on the dash, no mechanical issues noted. This has happened 3 or 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Any ideas?

Mine goes on when the fuel tank is low. So you might have a float issue, or maybe it's something in the fuel gauge sender circuit.
If yours is a flex fuel vehicle, then it could also be the FFV sender module (which is in the tank and part of the pump assembly).

Thanks Loads Rockledge. I just filled the tank yesterday. I'll check it and see as the gas goes. Never thought about whether it's a full tank or somewhere down the tank level. I'll give it a study I guess......No problem as I drive 60 miles or so to my business every day. Thanks again.

My "Check Gauge" light, will turn on if the gas tank is below 1/4 remaining & I've parked on a grade, front end facing down slope.
Then it'll usually take a half mile or so of driving on level ground, for it to turn off.
If the fill level is above the 1/4 remaining mark, no problem.
