e4od Shifting problem VSS ?
I have a 93 E350 MH with a e40d Trans 50k miles . on a recent trip it started shifting in and out of gears taking off from red lights it would go from first to neutral and then slam into 2nd and the back to 1st !. at Hiway speed it would would come out of OD .
I have had trouble with the ABS light staying on all the time and ocasionally the speedo would drop and then return to speed . On this trip the speedo went crazy up and down and would stop working for a long period of time . By the time i got home it was stuck in 1st . My question is will a new VSS fix this problem or is my tranny dead! Thanks for any advice

WOW!! An 18 dollar part fixed the problem . Thanks Casey ! That saved me 1500.00 . Our local Trans shop said pull it out and bring they could get it going for around 1500 im so glad i found this web site .
