Testing the Limited Slip

Looked on the Door Panel, and under axle it says H9. I think this is the limited slip, I know on my truck specs it says I have it.

How do i test to make sure the LS is working? Tried to read up about it but could'nt find anything for my truck. It is a 2001 Super Crew 4x4 off road 5.4l

jack one rear wheel 2 inches off the ground, leave the other wheel on the ground. try to turn the tire that is in the air. if it turns, there is no limit slip clutch, if it does not turn, then it is tied to the other wheel which is setting on the ground and there for has the clutch locking the wheels together.

Or, if you get both rear wheels off the ground...spin one tire, and the other tire will spin the same direction. If it's an open diff...the other tire will spin the opposite way

Punch it from a dead stop in the rain. Mine goes sideways.
The front diff. is open.

I don't think that will work. I did it with my truck and I have an open rear and still got both to spin on dirt. The rain idea seam like it should work.

limited slip in the dirt should get you a straighter set of tracks , as long as you keep the wheel straight.
